Petey

Ben Mikaelsen is not only the author of Petey, he has other wonderful stories that include 'Touching Spirit Bear' and 'Sparrow Hawk Red'. He loves the outdoors and is big about teaching students about anti-bullying. He lives near Bozeman, Montana with his wife. One cool thing about him is that he adopted and raised a 750-pound black bear. Its name was Buffy and it sadly passed away in 2012.
